2006 SWRHA Futurity to Feature Houston Ranch Mare Incentive
The Southwest Reining Horse Association Futurity, billed "Where the Finest go First!", has been embellished in 2006 with an increase of over $35,000 in added money due to the 2006 SWRHA On-Line Stallion Auction.
But there's more in store for participants of the futurity with the advent of the SWRHA's innovative new program, the Houston Ranch Mare Incentive. Sponsored by Houston Ranch, the Mare Incentive will pay $2,000 to the highest placing or advancing open mare at the 2006 Southwest Reining Horse Association Futurity.
Sam Houston noted "The Houston Ranch takes a great deal of pride in associating with many of the great mares of the reining horse industry thru our work with embryo transfer. With the creation of the Houston Ranch Mare Incentive we hope to see mares rewarded for their outstanding performance in the show pen"
SWRHA Board of Directors member Jack Covington noted, "We are excited to add Houston Ranch as a "naming" sponsor. Sam Houston, Barbara Pirtle and crew are true friends to our industry."
The Houston Ranch operates in Whitesboro, Texas for the primary purpose of providing reproductive and embryo transfer service to the horse industry. By utilization of state of the art equine reproductive technology, specialized facilities, and an extensive and well managed recipient herd, all in conjunction with a staff dedicated to service and quality, the Houston Ranch is at the forefront in equine reproduction.
